Check out these cute, skinny little business cards that DeAnna discovered...we just had to have some made from recent portrait sessions to test them out. The printer, Moo.com, can even print a different image on each card in the order, very cool when we want to show off our portfolio.

If you see your portrait here and want to snag a card, track down DeAnna because she isn't letting Tim have any of these yet...haahaha!

We can even have these made up for your event so your guests know how to see photographs online...we think they'd really be cute as little coupon cards too.

A memorial will be built in Colorado Springs in America the Beautiful Park.
This Memorial will honor local peace officers who have made, and who will make the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our community. Proceeds from this event will go towards the construction of the Pikes Peak Region Peace Officers' Memorial. now that's a group photograph! - Denver event photography

Earlier this summer we were asked to create a large group photograph for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers as they visited Denver for their conference. With a group of nearly 300, and the client requring a strong vertical orientation on the photograph to match the magazine layout with an outdoor theme, we had our work cut out for us! Unfortunately we couldn't move the group's schedule or location to allow for a Colorado mountain background (the sun would have been in their eyes at 8am!) so we opted for the gorgeous green Inverness Golf Course at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center.

With the sun behind everyone, we had to light the enormous group. Our assistant Gary set up two large portable monolights on 12' stands with 6' diameter photo umbrellas to spread the light. Talk about putting a sail in the wind! These umbrellas swayed back and forth but held firm to the ground for us. Tim ascended 20' in a scissor lift and bellowed out his instructions to the crowd, keeping them attentive and somewhat entertained for the whole shoot.

We photographed the image just a little wider than you see below so the graphic designers would have room for their logo and cropping as needed. The 12 megapixel image worked great for publication resolution.

Ultimately we conducted some minor post-processing artwork to replace a couple faces who were blinking or looking away with a great face and send the final product to our client within two days so they could meet their publishing deadline!

It's always fun to see the final product come together in the final published copy and rewarding after all the work that goes into making an image like this.

I love to photograph a couple who are so obviously, madly in love. I also love a new wedding experience, which I got to have this time since Marian is Polish (his name is pronounced MAR-yon, roughly). He has a huge family, most of whom flew in from all over the U.S. and from Poland. I learned how to say "smile" in Polish (don't ask me to spell it here!), and I heard a lot of cool Polish disco music during the reception. It was great! Kelly and Marian, thanks for choosing me to document your super-fun day!

Wedding ceremony location: The Heritage Garden at Monument Valley Park
Wedding reception location: The Craftwood Inn
Bride's gown: Something New Boutique
Flowers: Ambiance Florals
Bride's hair and makeup: Veda Salon
Cake: The Sugarplum Cake Shoppe
DJ services: Sensational Sounds

I love this shot of Kelly's mom watching the getting ready process. She looks so proud and happy.

The vows. Guys, if you can get a beautiful woman to look at you like this, well... let's just say Marian is a lucky man!

The traditional Catholic ceremony took place in the Heritage Garden at Monument Valley Park.

The kiss was spectacular!

Kelly and Marian gave me enough time to make some cool portraits of the wedding party in downtown Colorado Springs.

I can't resist a bowl of candy for the ring shot.

Well this was a fun one! Alex proposed to Emily in the Garden of the Gods, so naturally we took some nice portraits there and they're wonderful, but the ones that came AFTER the Garden of the Gods were the icing on the cake! Alex is an Air Force pilot, and they both wanted aircraft to feature significantly in their engagement portraits. Off we went to the Peterson Air and Space Museum (on Pete Field), where there are quite a few really cool vintage planes and jets. The sun was just going down and it was the most dramatic lighting I could have hoped for. These guys seriously rocked it! I think this is my favorite engagement session ever! :o)

The funny story behind this photo: I asked Emily and Alex to smooch for the camera. There were lots of tourists around watching, including a family with little kids. As Alex and Emily kissed, one of the children said loudly, "Ewwwwww! They're kissing!" It was hilarious!

Dramatic scenery and lighting courtesy of Mother Nature :o)

I think this one's my favorite from the whole session.

Top Gun!

Pretty cool, huh?

It's Baby M, and he's officially a toddler now! I've been documenting Baby M since before he was born, and it's been amazing watching him grow. Hard to believe he was a little newborn peanut only a few short months ago -- how time does fly. I didn't think it was humanly possible for him to get any cuter, but my goodness he has upped the ante with each photo shoot! I love his chubby little cheeks and big hazel eyes. Such a punkin!

When it came to the cake smash, M did not disappoint! :o)

All my toddlers get their portrait done with my little red chair.

With his proud mom, Shanda. I'd kiss him all day long too.

Shaun and Tanya were married on a misty, chilly day last month in the Garden of the Gods. Normally the view is clear and extremely bright there, but on this day it was beautifully soft and misty. In all my years living here I've never seen the Garden of the Gods look quite like it did that day. It was magical! The fact that there were only nine people there including me and the officiant made it extra special. Collectively we braved the chill and had a truly memorable afternoon. Congratulations Tanya and Shaun!

Tanya got ready at the historic Cliff House.

This is the moment that Shaun first saw Tanya in her dress and veil. He looks like a VERY happy man!

Moments after the kiss and pronouncement... married 10 seconds and over the moon!!!

There was this little moment just after the ceremony when everyone was milling around, and I spotted Tanya and Shaun gazing at each other with these wonderful expressions. Ah, love :o)

Gotta love a wedding dress with pockets. Sassy!

Last shot of the day.
