Air Force Academy wedding: Emily & Alex

How much do I love my job?!? Emily and Alex have been such a pleasure to work with from minute one! I was so excited when their wedding day finally arrived. They were married in a traditional Catholic mass at the AFA Cadet Chapel, and their wedding reception was at the Colorado Springs Marriott. It was such a great day. Congratulations Alex and Emily!

Emily's shoes were to DIE for.

Emily's grandmother, the lady on the right in this picture, sewed the wedding gown. Amazing. She also sewed the veil, the garters, and the bridesmaid dresses.  And she did it all in THREE MONTHS.

Isn't she a beautiful bride?

Alex and Emily's ceremony was in the Catholic section of the Cadet Chapel, downstairs from the main chapel.

Married 60 seconds. I live for moments like this.

Alex is an Air Force fighter pilot.  F-16 shaped cookies?  I'll have one! Or maybe two ;^)

Colorado Springs family portraits: meet Baby R !!!

It seems like only yesterday that I was at Jeff and Rachael's house, documenting their charming backyard wedding. Almost exactly two years later to the day I found myself at their house again, this time making portraits of their beautiful newborn daughter, R. She's precious, beautiful, perfect. And lucky me, I get to chronicle her entire first year! Our next photo session is coming this weekend. Stand by for more cuteness!

I love black and white baby portraits.

Here are the proud parents! They don't look too tuckered out from midnight feedings, do they?

I love this one of Rachael kissing her daughter.

A favorite image from their wedding. This was taken in the street in front of their home :^)

Sylvan Dale Ranch wedding: Molly & Justin

Don't you think it's just too good to be true to get married in a town called Loveland? And the Sylvan Dale Ranch is so beautiful and just so... Colorado. I'd never been there before, and now that I have I hope I get to shoot another wedding there soon! I love a good old fashioned western wedding on a ranch, and Molly and Justin's wedding was so pretty, filled with charming little details (and pie! yum!), not to mention Mother Nature's grand contributions. The weather was perfect and the Big Thompson River filled our ears with its music. A magical day.

She looks so happy here. I love it.

Catching Justin's eye as her dad escorts her up the aisle.

They have a tree swing at the ranch.  How could we not take a picture with it?!?

See, I told you it was pretty there.  Just gorgeous.

Candies formed like robin's eggs, in an adorable little nest. Almost too pretty to eat!

The centerpieces were tree branches hung with origami cranes.

Pioneers Museum wedding: Maggie & Eric

What a sincere pleasure it has been working with Maggie and Eric. They're just so cool! Let's put it this way: I've never had a couple do their first dance to a Zero 7 song, and I've never had a father-daughter dance to Bob Marley. That's how fun and unique this day was :^) Add to that the fact that I finally got to shoot a wedding at the beautiful Pioneers Museum, which only started offering weddings recently, and I can tell you I had a great day! Despite the Waldo Canyon fire and all the added stress that put on them in the days leading up to their nuptials, Maggie and Eric's wedding was perfect, and so very THEM. Congratulations, guys!

Maggie got ready in one of the big gorgeous suites at the Antlers.

So pretty!

Their first look. Adorable!

The Pioneers Museum has only just started offering weddings, in their historic courtroom. What a cool place to tie the knot!

Married.

In the stretch limo, turning the tables on their poor hardworking photographer ;^)
